Things here happen at a much reduced pace. That might take a little getting used to but it is what it is!

Around Batam Center and Nagoya there is a lot more bustle to life! There's more people and more noise. But escaping the 'city' is an easy affair. Hop in a car, drive and hour and you'll be in a different world. Just keep in mind that the further you travel away from the center the less likely you will be to encounter anyone who speaks any English.
